A landslide in the town of Atami has killed at least four people and left dozens missing
Searches for missing persons after a major landslide Japan, Last Saturday (3), continue. A landslide caused by heavy rains buried several houses and buildings in the town of Atami, 100 km from Tokyo.
As stated in it Washington Post, At least four people died in the landslide. In addition, 25 people were rescued and 80 were missing after the disaster.
Shizuoka Governor Heita Kawakatsu said the soil had weakened and slipped due to the downpour. Residents said they heard a loud noise at the time of the landslide.
