American Airlines commissioners recently arrested a 13-year-old boy on a flight between Mawai, Hawaii and Los Angeles, California.
The incident was reported by yesterday (10) CBS Los Angeles, Led to the flight being diverted to Honolulu. The video below shows the passenger and an air attendant holding the boy in his seat.
An hour after the flight began, witnesses told CBS that the boy had a physical fight with his mother and then began kicking a window near his seat. As a result of the problem, American Airlines Flight 212, which took off from Mi at 12:30 pm (local time) on Tuesday, had to return to Hawaii and land in Honolulu at 3:47 pm.
An airline spokesman said that although the video showed a commissioner holding an electrical tape, only flexible handcuffs were used to control the boy in the end.
“After landing in Honolulu at 3:47 pm local time, customers were re-accommodated on other flights or given hotel accommodation. Safety and security is our highest priority and we apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused,” the airline said in an email statement.
This is the third incident involving passengers within a month. On July 31, a 22-year-old man got stuck in his seat on a Frontier Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Miami. Grab two flight attendants and attack one another.
